Volleyball Recap: Corner Canyon's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Corner Canyon had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Layton Lancers as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Chargers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Halle Bills paced Corner Canyon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bills got some help from Nafanua Alofipo and her 28 assists. Bills was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Layton lost, don't look at Suzanne Hill. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and two assists.

Corner Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Layton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season.

Corner Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against American Fork on the 29th. As for Layton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lehi on the 29th.
