Basketball Game Preview: Lima Christian Saints vs. Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats

The Lima Christian Saints are taking a road trip to take on the Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Lima Christian is leaving town to face Jasper-Troupsburg after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Saints fell just short of Houghton Academy by a score of 50-47 on Tuesday. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jasper-Troupsburg). They walked away with a 69-58 victory over Bolivar-Richburg on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Jasper-Troupsburg's win came from a few key players Lima Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jim Ainsworth, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 26 points and six boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Zver, who went 6-for-12 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
