Basketball Recap: Craig County Takes a Loss

Craig County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 51-22 loss at the hands of the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs. The game marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Cyrus Underwood was nothing short of spectacular for Eastern Montgomery: he went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Sutphin, who posted nine points.

Craig County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eastern Montgomery, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Craig County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-55 loss against Giles on the 17th. As for Eastern Montgomery, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-30 win against Grayson County on the 18th.
