Softball Preview: Paramus Spartans vs. Bergen Tech Knights        
        
		
            
 Paramus has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  square off against the Bergen Tech Knights at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Paramus is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12  runs  on Monday, they were much more limited against Saddle Brook  on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of  3-1.
 Meanwhile, Bergen Tech started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Westampton Tech. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of  11-9 on Saturday.
  Shannon Quigley was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Quigley was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Sophia Tripodi and  Ryleigh Lange stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Tripodi  went 4-for-4 with three  RBI, while  Lange  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Samantha Lee, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Paramus has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost nine of their last 11 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season. As for Bergen Tech, their loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-7.
 Paramus skirted past Bergen Tech  3-2 in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paramus since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
