Volleyball Recap: Palo Verde Takes a Loss

Palo Verde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Empire Ravens. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Ravens when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-8.

Leading Empire to victory were Madison Gardner and Ella Peace. Gardner had 14 aces and nine digs, while Peace had seven digs and three assists. Gardner is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Palo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Empire, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Palo Verde does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Empire, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Safford on the 4th.
