North Sanpete never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Carbon on Friday. They really took it to the Dinos for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-10 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Dinos: they've now won six in a row.

North Sanpete was led to victory by Maddox Madsen and Ayden Akee. Madsen threw for 139 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes, while Akee rushed for 87 yards and one score. Another big playmaker for the Hawks was Seth Burningham, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

North Sanpete didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Carbon to a completion percentage of just 31.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Evan Burningham, Seth, and Braden Palmer, who each logged two passes deflected. North Sanpete has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.6 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.6 in their last three games.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Burningham, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

North Sanpete's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Carbon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

North Sanpete has already played their next contest, a 35-14 defeat against Manti on the 3rd. As for Carbon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-0 loss against Delta on the 3rd.
