Baseball Recap: Wilbraham & Monson Academy Titans vs. Salisbury School Crimson Knights
Wilbraham & Monson Academy had lost five straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-9 to make it six. They lost 12-0 to the Salisbury School Crimson Knights. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crimson Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
As for Salisbury School, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.
For Salisbury School's part, they got a great performance from Nikhil Parikh as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Michael Fiatarone was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Sean Connolly also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Looking ahead, Salisbury School will face off against Brunswick School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilbraham & Monson Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Crimson Knights' matchup: after the Crimson Knights face off against the Bruins, they'll take on Wilbraham & Monson Academy again at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
