Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiski Area). They put the hurt on the Gateway Gators with a sharp 13-1 victory on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

The team relied heavily on Zach Hald, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dimitri Spagnola, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Kiski Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kiski Area's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Gateway, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kiski Area will challenge Armstrong at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gateway, they will take on Baldwin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Highlanders will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
