Basketball Recap: Ridgevue Takes a Loss

Ridgevue lost against Capital back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ridgevue Warhawks fell 62-50 to the Capital Golden Eagles. The Warhawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Ridgevue lost, don't look at Myra Martinez. Despite the final result, she posted 17 points and six steals. That's the most steals Martinez has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKenna Durrant, who earned 11 points and eight rebounds.

Ridgevue's record now sits at 9-8. As for Capital, they moved to 8-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Ridgevue will be playing in front of their home fans against Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Owyhee will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Ridgevue surely won't give up without a fight. As for Capital, they and Centennial will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
