Softball Recap: Rutherford Comes Up Short

Rutherford has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against the Ramsey Rams, falling 15-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Rutherford's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Ramsey, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Rutherford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against NV - Old Tappan on the 19th. As for Ramsey, they will host Pascack Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Rams are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
