Basketball Recap: Woodsboro Takes a Loss

If Woodsboro was riding high fresh off their 39-19 takedown of Three Rivers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Woodsboro Eagles had to suffer through a 62-24 loss at the hands of the Kenedy Lions. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Woodsboro lost on Friday, don't look at Jaqulynn Tully. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. That's the most boards Tully has posted since back in November of 2024.

Woodsboro's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Kenedy, they pushed their record up to 11-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Woodsboro will take on Yorktown at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kenedy, they will square off against Three Rivers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenedy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
