NCISAA Triad league recap: 3/13/13

Carolina Friends and Westchester Country Day are tied atop the standings of NCISAA Triad, leaving first place open for the taking.

The league's top pitcher this week was Caldwell Academy's Nick Canovai. Over the past week, he had one win and eight Ks.

Caldwell Academy's Canovai struck out eight North Hills Christian hitters en route to a 5-3 victory on March 11. He gave up three hits and three runs over five innings of work.

Clay Young drove in five runners on Tuesday in Caldwell Academy's 16-4 victory over Grace Christian. He went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
