Basketball Recap: Hartshorne Takes a Loss

If Hartshorne was riding high fresh off their 77-38 takedown of Wilburton last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hartshorne Miners were beaten by the Pocola Indians 75-45 on Friday. The Miners haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hartshorne's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pocola, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Hartshorne has already played their next matchup, a 65-58 win against Stigler on the 18th. As for Pocola, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heavener at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
