Baseball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Faith Christian Academy won the last time they faced Bethel Assembly Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Conquerors put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 17-6 victory. The Conquerors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Chase Moen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moen was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, he posted four RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Jessie Carrillo was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Jaiden Bond also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Faith Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Faith Christian Academy is taking a road trip to face off against Spring Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.44 runs per game on average), something the Conquerors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they will welcome New Life Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
