Football Game Preview: Marion County Warriors vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets + How To Watch

Marion County has gone a perfect 4-0 against Grundy County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will welcome the Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Marion County 5.9, Grundy County 5.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Marion County was able to grind out a solid victory over Bledsoe County, taking the game 15-3. Marion County hasn't had any issues with Bledsoe County recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Marion County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Richards out in front who rushed for 73 yards and one score on only five carries. Those 73 rushing yards gave Richards a new career-high. Mason Mays helped out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards.

Meanwhile, Grundy County beat Monterey 14-7 on Friday. The 14-point effort marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Marion County better keep an eye on Vince Bryant. He was instrumental in Grundy County's win, rushing for 100 yards, while also picking up 35 receiving yards.

Marion County's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Grundy County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Marion County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 211.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Grundy County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 208.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
