While McDowell put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Avery County. The Titans blew past the Vikings 47-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Titans just coasted through the last quarter.

Hunter Pittman went supernova, rushing for 159 yards and three scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Those 159 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jordan Barnett was another key rusher, rushing for 102 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

McDowell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Whitesides and Lester Woodside. McDowell received some extra help from Lincoln Cole, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

McDowell now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Avery County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, McDowell will challenge Enka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Avery County, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Vikings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
