Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Bluff Tigers vs. Sand Rock Wildcats

Cedar Bluff is 0-10 against Sand Rock since January of 2019 but things could change on Monday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cedar Bluff Tigers challenge the Sand Rock Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Cedar Bluff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.

Cedar Bluff is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 64-43 to Ashville. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 107th).

Kuper Bradley was Cedar Bluff's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Isaac Bishop held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sand Rock hadn't done well against Fyffe recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Sand Rock walked away with a 66-57 win over Fyffe. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Sand Rock's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Cedar Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Cedar Bluff lost to Sand Rock on the road by a decisive 70-56 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Cedar Bluff avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
