Softball Recap: Ellington Knights vs. Bolton Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 Ellington can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Wednesday. They never let the Bolton Bulldogs onto the board and left with  a   21-0  win. The  victory was nothing new for Ellington as they're now sitting on five straight.
  Sara Gilbert was a major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Gilbert has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Gilbert was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Tyla Gambacorta, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  triples. Another player making a difference was  Keyleigh Flaherty, who  went 3-for-5 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 Ellington is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record  this season. As for Bolton, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ellington will  take on East Windsor at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Ellington is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Bolton, they will  challenge Lyman Memorial at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
