Football Recap: Rock Canyon Takes a Loss

Rock Canyon had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 3-7 to make it five. They took a blow against the Valor Christian Eagles, falling 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

Charlie Jaeger threw for 67 yards and one touchdown. Kai Ingrassia was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards and one TD.

As for Valor Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Considering they have won eight matchups by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Chase Hanosh produced another solid effort rushing for 159 yards and a pair of scores. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Coleman, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

As of now, neither Rock Canyon nor Valor Christian have any future games scheduled.
