Basketball Recap: Washington County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southern last Monday, Washington County came back down to earth. The Washington County Commanders fell 62-50 to the Marion County Knights on Thursday. The Commanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 43-40.

Washington County has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Marion County, their win bumped their record up to 5-14-1.

Washington County has already played their next match, a 35-22 defeat against Bluegrass United on the 14th. As for Marion County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-29 victory against Larue County on the 14th.
