Basketball Game Preview: Northville Falcons vs. Mayfield Panthers

Northville has won ten straight games at home, while Mayfield has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Northville Falcons will welcome the Mayfield Panthers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Northville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Northville challenged Galway on Wednesday. Northville took their match with ease, bagging a 74-27 win over Galway. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mayfield played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 63-31 loss at the hands of Berne-Knox-Westerlo. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.

Northville will have to contain Brianna Iannuzzi as she made an impact in Mayfield's last game. She posted 17 points and three steals. That was a full 54.8% of Mayfield's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Northville's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Mayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
