Volleyball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley and Boulder City squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Valley had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since March 5th.

While Valley was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

With the loss, Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-11. As for Boulder City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-8 record this season.

Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boulder City, they will square off against Virgin Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
