After a string of four wins, Greenbrier Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks. If the Gators were looking for revenge after losing 47-44 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greenbrier Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bayleigh Kaliher, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals. Kaliher has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Balka, who posted four points in addition to ten blocks and seven boards.

Greenbrier Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenbrier Christian Academy will host Hickory at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenbrier Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so Hickory's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cox at 5:00 p.m. Atlantic Shores Christian is facing Cox at the right time seeing as Cox is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
