Football Game Preview: Platte/Geddes Black Panthers vs. Bon Homme Cavaliers

The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers will face off against the Bon Homme Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Platte/Geddes is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Parkston, who was ranked third at the time (Platte/Geddes was ranked 13th). The Black Panthers took a blow against the Trojans on Friday, falling 28-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Black Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bon Homme, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Wolsey-Wessington 48-12. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Bon Homme's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Platte/Geddes, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
