Basketball Recap: Pelion Beats Swansea for Their Second Straight Victory

Pelion won the last time they faced Swansea and Kolton Rogers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers took down the Tigers 54-35 on Saturday with plenty of help from Rogers, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Swansea lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jarian Grant, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Zyshawn Jamison, who scored ten points.

Pelion has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 56.5 points this season. As for Swansea, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Pelion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 36-28 victory against Wagener-Salley on the 24th. As for Swansea, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blackville-Hilda at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
