Softball Game Preview: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

Temecula Valley hasn't had much luck against Great Oak recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Bears will take on the Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. Temecula Valley has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Temecula Valley came up short against Murrieta Mesa on Wednesday, falling 15-1. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Great Oak). Everything went their way against Chaparral on Wednesday as they made off with a 16-2 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolfpack, who have now won five matches in a row.

Great Oak's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Temecula Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Temecula Valley might still be hurting after the 10-4 loss they got from Great Oak in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Golden Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
