Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 48-37 to the Christel House Eagles. Heritage Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Christel House apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

David Brigham Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Christel House, going 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points and four steals. That's the most points Brigham Jr has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josiah Jackson, who posted nine points and three steals.

Heritage Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Christel House, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Heritage Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Triton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Triton Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. As for Christel House, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Purdue Polytechnic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
