Hampton wins going away against Polk County

Recap: Hampton Bulldogs vs. Polk County Wildcats

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Hampton Bulldogs walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 36-19 victory over Polk County on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for Hampton who now have eight in a row.

Polk County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being T.j. Hawkins, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Damien McWilliams also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Hampton's victory was their fifth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.2 points per game. As for Polk County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Hampton's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bledsoe County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Bledsoe County is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. Polk County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
