Basketball Recap: Archimedes Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Archimedes waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 47-29 victory over the Mott Haven Mavericks. This was a revenge game for Archimedes: when they faced off against Mott Haven back in December of 2024, they had to take a 32-18 defeat.

Archimedes' win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Mott Haven, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Archimedes and Mott Haven should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Archimedes (ranked 101st) will meet Morrisania (ranked 329th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Archimedes: 24.7, Mott Haven: 23.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Mott Haven will challenge Bathgate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 269 places (103 vs. 372).
