Softball Recap: Academy of the Holy Names Takes Down Chamberlain in a Playoff Battle

Academy of the Holy Names extended their postseason success on Thursday against Chamberlain. They blew past the Storm 10-0. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Powell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2024. Kacey Scott also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The victory (which was Academy of the Holy Names' fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Chamberlain, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

As of now, neither Academy of the Holy Names nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
