Volleyball Recap: Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit lost against KIPP Navigate College Prep back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Tigers. Considering the last time the Lions couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-13.

KIPP Navigate College Prep was led to victory by Hope Gutierrez and Andrea Munquia. Gutierrez had five aces, while Munquia had five aces. Those five aces gave Gutierrez a new career-high.

Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for KIPP Navigate College Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
