It was a good run, but Pope John Paul II unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Upper Merion Area Vikings by a score of 7-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pope John Paul II of the 11-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Molly Houchins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Henderson, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pope John Paul II's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Upper Merion Area, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pope John Paul II will welcome Faith Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Upper Merion Area, they will be playing at home against Valley Forge Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
