Softball Recap: Splendora Comes Up Short

Splendora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Crosby Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.

Splendora's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Crosby, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Splendora is set to take on their familiar foe West Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Crosby will square off against rival Kingwood Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
