Volleyball Recap: Greenville Takes Down Ranked Hillcrest + How To Watch

Greenville faced Hillcrest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Red Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Rams. Winning may never get old, but the Red Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-109) Greenville actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 27-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Greenville's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Hillcrest, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Greenville will face off against rival T.L. Hanna at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hillcrest is set to take on their familiar foe Woodmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
