Football Recap: North Salinas Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

North Salinas had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the King City Mustangs by a score of 21-10. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Kai Ceralde was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. Those 188 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Salinas will challenge Soledad at 7:30 p.m. on September 6. As for King City, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Watsonville at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
