Softball Game Preview: Beavercreek Beavers vs. Northmont Thunderbolts

The Beavercreek Beavers will take on the Northmont Thunderbolts at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Beavercreek has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Beavercreek lost 11-1 to Miamisburg on Friday.

Beavercreek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Selena Knight, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Knight hit this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northmont). They came out on top against Covington by a score of 16-12 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Thunderbolts as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Beavercreek now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Northmont, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Beavercreek came out on top in a nail-biter against Northmont in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Beavers repeat their success, or do the Thunderbolts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
