Softball Recap: Lawrence Takes a Loss

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Andover Golden Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 27-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Andover, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence will head out to face off against Dracut at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Middies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Andover, they will head out on the road to take on Haverhill at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hillies have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
