Basketball Game Preview: Cape Cod Academy Seahawks vs. Cape Cod RVT Crusaders

The Cape Cod Academy Seahawks will venture away from home to square off against the Cape Cod RVT Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Cape Cod Academy ended up a good deal behind Dennis-Yarmouth Regional and lost 82-68. The loss continues a trend for the Seahawks in their matchups with the Dolphins: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Cape Cod Academy had strong showings from Harrison Lauf, who went 9-for-16 en route to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, and Mike Berry, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Berry a new career-high in field goal percentage (59%). Another player making a difference was Cody Tolley, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Cape Cod RVT suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They lost 56-34 to Upper Cape Cod RVT.

Cape Cod Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Cape Cod RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Cape Cod Academy came up short against Cape Cod RVT when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 57-49. Can Cape Cod Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
