Winston Salem Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cannon Cougars. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-18 in the first set.

Winston Salem Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-14.

Winston Salem Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Cannon, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.
