Soccer Game Preview: Danbury vs. St. Joseph

Danbury is 0-9 against St. Joseph since September of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hatters will head out on the road to take on the Cadets at 4:00 p.m. St. Joseph took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Danbury, who comes in off a win.

Danbury had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the seven-goal drubbing they dealt Bridgeport Central on Friday. The Hatters' defense stepped up to hand the Hilltoppers a 7-0 shutout. Ava Thatcher was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, St. Joseph was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to New Canaan.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Danbury, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.

Danbury suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Hatters avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
