Softball Recap: Amador Valley Takes a Loss

Amador Valley was the 3-2 winner over College Park when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dons fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.

McKenna Charbonneau was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Lauren Tran, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Amador Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for College Park, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Amador Valley will head out on the road to take on California at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for College Park, they will take on San Ramon Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The last six games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
