Soccer Recap: First Baptist School Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, First Baptist School has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the First Baptist School Hurricanes' three. First Baptist School were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Hilton Head Christian Academy earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

First Baptist School's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

First Baptist School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northwood Academy at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Palmetto Christian Academy on the 27th.
