The Veritas Academy Monarch can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 65-52 victory over Lititz Christian. Veritas Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Lititz Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jack Kriebel dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kriebel has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Antes, who scored four points along with seven steals and six assists.

Veritas Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-11. As for Lititz Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Academy will take on High Point Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. High Point Baptist Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Veritas Academy in Pennsylvania (High Point Baptist Academy is ranked 314th, while Veritas Academy is ranked 749th). As for Lititz Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Meadowbrook Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Meadowbrook Christian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
