Northland Prep Academy won the last time they faced Valley, and Jaden Joiner did his part to make sure it happened again. The Northland Prep Academy Spartans managed a 67-62 win over the Valley Pirates on Saturday thanks in part to Joiner, who went 10 of 20 to rack up 29 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Apachee, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eric Slim, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards.

Northland Prep Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
