Football Recap: Highland Springs Has No Trouble Against South County + How To Watch

The Highland Springs Springers made easy work of the South County Stallions on Friday and carried off a 35-14 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Springers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Stallions are ranked 48th).

Highland Springs found their leader in sophomore Devlin Davis, who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, South County had strong showings from Dylan Miller, who threw for 371 yards and a pair of TDs, and Trevion Campbell, who picked up 221 receiving yards and one score.

The win got Highland Springs back to even at 2-2. As for South County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Springs will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Phoebus at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for South County, they will head out to take on West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Stallions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
