Baseball Game Preview: Lindsay Leopards vs. Kingston Redskins

The Lindsay Leopards will head out on the road to challenge the Kingston Redskins at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Lindsay came up short against Elgin on Saturday, falling 9-1. The Leopards have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Kingston had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Longhorns.

Lander Burkhalter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady Greene, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Lindsay now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Kingston, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Lindsay skirted past Kingston 6-5 in their previous matchup last Thursday. Will Lindsay repeat their success, or does Kingston has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
