Basketball Recap: West Union Takes a Loss

West Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 70-25 defeat at the hands of the Pine Grove Panthers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

West Union's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Pine Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

West Union has already played their next match (against Smithville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pine Grove Panthers challenge the Jumpertown Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Grove has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
