Nate Dyer Dazzles in Carlinville Defeat
Starting off the list is Carlinville's Nate Dyer, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dyer rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.
North Mac had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Dyer it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Dyer saw the Panthers), he rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

A Season-Best Performance from Wyatt Kile Leads Pana over Hillsboro
On Friday, Pana got the W thanks in part to Wyatt Kile playing the best football he has all season. Kile rushed for 35 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing.
If the past is any indication, Kile could be in store for another big game when he takes on Gillespie on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kile saw the Miners), he threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 103 yards on only seven carries.

Tyler Rench Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Pana got the W thanks in part to Tyler Rench playing the best football he has all season. Rench picked up two sacks and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
For the season, Rench has averaged 5.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 5 sacks. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging eight receiving yards per game. This year he is averaging 33 receiving yards.

Taylor Posts Huge Game in 44-21 Victory
Khiry Taylor was a major factor in Staunton/Bunker Hill's win over Southwestern on Friday. Taylor was dynamite, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
The victory got Staunton/Bunker Hill back to even at 3-3. Taylor and Staunton/Bunker Hill are taking a road trip to square off against Litchfield/Mt. Olive at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Roark Lewis Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Roark Lewis of North Mac. Lewis' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.
For the season, Lewis has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 145.7 rushing yards per game.
