Softball Recap: Magnolia Takes a Loss

Magnolia extended their losing streak to eight on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-11 in the process. They lost 11-0 to the Los Amigos Lobos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sentinels of the 20-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

As for Los Amigos, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3. Considering they have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Los Amigos' part, the team relied heavily on Leah Lemusu, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Lemusu has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maria Castillo, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Magnolia has already played their next matchup, a 19-13 loss against Bolsa Grande on the 18th. As for Los Amigos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Santiago on the 16th.
