Football Recap: Tenoroc Comes Up Short at Home Against Umatilla + How To Watch

Tenoroc unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Umatilla Bulldogs and fell 48-6. The Titans have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Brexton Chapple threw for 38 yards on five of 14 attempts. On the ground, Jaidon Furman rushed for 115 yards.

Bryce Norflee was nothing short of spectacular for Umatilla: he picked up 152 receiving yards and two TDs, and also punched in two rushing scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns Norflee has posted since back in September of 2024. Ray Jenkins was another key player, throwing for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes.

Umatilla has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Tenoroc and Umatilla will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Titans see the field they'll take on Weeki Wachee at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Umatilla, their break will end when they face Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
